I can see where this is going and if done right it will look good. Going on your first wip though I would suggest you work on your selections as it looks like you are using lasso when the pen tool is much better for selections. The second thing on your selections is you have alot of jagged edges, try feathering your selections (between 0.5 pixels - 0.8 pixels should be enough.)

yes I will still hitting the selections, and I use the lasso as the pen
