Help With Brushing

Hello,

I am asking for help with learning to brush. I really want to do it but can't find the drive to do it or the confidence in my skills to carry out a project with brushing.

If a Inter to Pro Tuner (or higher) could help me out that would be great and it could even lead to helping others on this forum.

Please don't give me the typical yet expected response of practice, practice, practice and that’s not really helpful. Only respond if your willing to help, if you are send me a pm if you use MSN.
i'm afraid im gunna half take the route that you don't want any of us to take mate. I'm not gunna just link you to a tutorial or anything like that, because that way you tend to pick up other people's habits and styles which in the long run makes sure you don't stand out from the crowd.

the only real way IS to practice, but not just the way you'd expect. If you wanna do realistic brushing then take a look at pics of real cars, pay attention to the way the reflections warp over the shape of the car and how reflections work properly. then start trying to replicate that on cars. instead of brushing what you THINK you should see, brush what you see. When you reach the level of understanding fully how reflections work and how light plays on the car, then it becomes your normal way of thinking, and brushing will become 10x easier.

your work will undoubtedly start off messy and wrong but don't let it put you off. a saying i follow a lot is "even if you don't have any motivation, do it anyway" just keep going and going, building it up and up and eventually you'll see where you're going wrong. The reason people don't get very far with chopping is because they try to replicate other people's tutorials. Other people write tutorials based on their own natural style, thats why its so easy to them because they've developed that style over a long time. If you jump in and try and copy it, you'll fail every time. I guarantee that 100& of pro tuners and above have developed their own style literally through hardcore practice and seeing where they've gone wrong.

Not sure if that's the response you were after mate, but its the harsh truth. It's why i don't make brushing tutorials, because thats MY style. It's how my brain is programmed to work. If other people's brains arent programmed to work the same way as mine then whats the point in them following my tut?
Hello.
Hi pal..
well if you ask anyone from the weekest choper to the God of choping..

from novice to Elite.. they'll tell you ..Practice makes Perfect..

it's not something you picked up at once... ppl need time to develop they're selves..

something else .. also there's the a Great idea would help ;; just Focus more in the car Reflections ,, see how the refs tilted around shapes and stuff,,

try to make your own Photoshop version inside your Brain.. and look to everything surounding you,, then start Re-Creat the main color of any object you see around you.. and creat the refs. e.t.c,,

the main idea here is to devide everything surounding you to Layers..

this is how i do it..:)
