So far is going well on the way, I'm enjoying.
Will be converted into a track day car?

maybe but i cant get the shaddow right at the front where the bumper is an i ma thinking of making it white or cream with a role cage in

fits the bg well this could look great when finished
you need to have really blurry edges to the shadow all the way around...
look at the bg donor - you'll se there are no solid edges

however as the vw is higher off the ground, it will need to be slightly lighter in colour and even more blurred

but its coming along nicely - keep us updated
