A friendly suggestion for ya'll who don't want your profilepicture and info to appear in adverts on your friends accounts.

Account > Account Settings > Facebook Adverts
Allow adverts on platform pages to show my information to: No one

Just an advice if you like some "privacy".

Also, while you're there, "like" Autemo on Facebook!

Just Hi jacking Nicklas's thread, because this might be useful :-d

Take a look @your URL address (the top box on ur screen.) If you see "http" instead of "https" u DO NOT have a secure session & can be HACKED. Go 2 Account - Account Settings - Account Security - click Change Check box (secure browsing), click Save. FB has automatically set it on the non-secure setting! Do ur friends a huge favor copy & re-post...

That is such BS....! I've seen this spam go around on FB heaps. Don't proliferate that garbage! https (Secure Sockets Layer) is only useful for encrypting pages with passwords, credit cards and things like that. You can't get hacked by not using it on standard facebook pages etc. Use it if you feel you must, but take my word it honestly will not make a difference.
Facebook and privacy is an illusion anyway. They're tracking your every move on the Internet and placing cookies without asking. Even for nonmembers.

Exactly what Construct said! If you want to be "safe" on Facebook, only thing to do is to avoid sharing shit you don't want people to know.
Word@Mark. I still use HTTPSeverywhere though except FB as it makes it weird, laggy and stuff.

If you don't want to get "hacked", don't use easy passwords, don't have lot of information available etc. It's incredibly easy to retrieve/create a new FB password just by using the information available or what you know about said person. This goes for the password security question where loads of people use their pets names, where they were born etc.

If you're stupid enough to do that you deserve your account being taken over. Also, don't click on links that aren't secure. Any link that looks dodgy, don't click it.
And keep in mind that you never will win the Nigerian lottery - HUI!
