i noticed that the chat was quite small, can see 4 messages at a time or 3 with an announcement,
i know you can expand chat but with this forum being the biggest chopping site in the near future but even now its like that at times ,
there's going to be helll of alot of activeness and that chat will be going mental, someone says something, you blink and its gone lol

so i thought something like this will be better


what i done was trimmed the message/writing box, put that higher up, then made the chat box bigger so more messages can fit in it

I´d find it more important to have a longer history saved in the chat.

what about having the chat box down the side cause most messages are very short so less room is waisted plus if its down the side theres more room for older posts so the posts dont dissapear so quickly

but then it may make the forum look unclean and out of flow

However, I think it would make absolutely no difference to shrink the input-box that way you did. That would all in all bring maximal 1 line more, if we're lucky.
One could say that's better than nothing. But the way you described it will be here in some time, that would totally make no difference.

I think that it's good like it's now, especially because that "arrow" at the text-box (like in comics) looks awesome AND because I'm not too lazy to expand the chat if I wanna read something in there.

i found Trimming the msg writing bar is better now...

enlarging the chat box might be usefull for some guys..

I'll increase the size a tad larger. I think 1 by line for now is best, it may not seem like much but it will make a difference (its still an extra 25%). The main reason is you can always just hit the expand button thats why i made that. I don't want the cb to take up too much room cos so that ppl not using the chatbox don't get affected just when browsing around the forums

And I'll increase the cb message history by +5 lines as well.
