FrankFurt MotorShow
Ok so my trip to frankfurt as the winner of the Lets mUve competition run by KIA motors and UCA (my old college)
My trip started out with going to Heathrow terminal 5, where i met up with the Managing Director of KIA UK and the President of KIA UK. We got on a very nice British Airways flight to FrankFurt and jumped into a taxi. the hotel was so nice, very swanky and expensive. i checked in and uppacked in my room then went down stairs to catch up with Jon Walsh and Steve Kitson, both men are Senior Press Officers and the ones that i met the night of winning the competition. i also at this point started drinking.
That night we were taken to the KIA European HQ building in FrankFurt. this is where there design studios are and holy crap they are amazing.... when we got there we were taken into the building and upstairs by some wonderful models. once we got to the floor it oppened up into the design studios where the world premier of the KIA Venga was. i go to see everything first hand and talk to some of the most powerful people in KIA motors.
but the best part of the whole trip was something i was never expecting, i had the chance to have a 'good talk with one of my all time idols, Peter Schreyer is the head designer if KIA motors (here is a vid of me talking to the man himself about design ideas http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDKe6ozx23g&feature=email)
and here is me with Mr Peter Schreyer
we were then taken out to a very nice Frankfurt Meal, where all that was on the menu was deep fired potatoes and pork, any type of pork..... was still bloody good though.
Then it was back to the Hotel bar for many more Drinks.....
The Motorshow was on the 2nd Day and was amazing, the british motorshow was dwarfed by this place. the pictures pretty much speak for themselves.....
I met some big names on this trip and made many contacts, i met people from the sun, car dealer, fast car mag, the people, etc..... was an amazing time and an amazing prize. i hope you enjoyed the pics....
