Back to the beginning.. Chop 1: Renault Laguna Coupe

Well thought I would start this as my first chop to get me into the swing of chopping again. Considering I haven't chopped in quite some time I am finding this base rather annoying, hence I will finish it. I was going to go clean, but I don't like the new coupe so I am going to modify the panels too to match different parts of bumpers, fenders etc... You'll see as I go along.

So far; I have changed...

* Colour
* Lowered
* Blackened out the wheels as I am going for a different stance of rims
* Carbon bonnet
* New bumper - which I am heavily modfying atm so it fits

Bumper is still toony in areas and I am struggling to make it fit. I like it, and I don't want to change it, I'll work something out or if anyone can show me any tutorial tips from themselves to make parts of it look better. Second WIP will be added later on tonight.

Yo dawg I heard your chopping again. So here's my C&C.

First step: Gotta get perspectives right before start brush or else it'll cause a hell lot of headaches when your half way through brushing.
Just use the base images body to mark out a few lines then compare to your new kit. I hope my perspectives are correct xD.

As you can see the front bodykit is a tad off. It needs to be extended on the right side.

Love the Crazy lip and the Carbon. Hope your working on a bigger res then the preview here though, it's not even 1000 res.

Thanks J. I intend to modify the front vent more. That's just there in the mean time until I start to give the car a full over-brush after I get all the parts on. If my perspectives are off, I can learn from my mistakes :D Thanks fro comments so far.

its nice
welcome back my friends.. :D wow :omg: I'm surprised that the style was sooooo cool bro..
IMO this should be fitted with Enkei RPF1 Rims or Ce28n or similar like that in order to match with the styling.. Just IMO.. :D

My comments has already told by J, then I maybe just give suggestion option, how if the side of fb, in order to fill the emptyness, add a mini cannards like JDM as usual..? :)

(sorry if my english bad :P)
* Working on side window - blackened out and removed mirror + reflection
* Brushed over front bumper + removed centre section + added canards
* Fixed perspectivnesses of the front bumper + lip
* Working on front light; Probably have have air filter poking out maybe

It's looking good!
The perspective on the FB look a lot better.
Ok just random stuff in case you might not be aware of it:
The canards need shadows.
The side seems to be a lot lighter than the roof and the front.
It could just be because of the low resolution, but the selections around the intake and side window look a little jagged.

Hope it helped!

* Widened rear arch
* WIP Side Interior
* Rims & Tyres
* Canard shadow added

Oh and guess what, I REALLY cannot chop this base and get any further with this WIP. So.. I have uploaded the .PSD for anyone who wants to continue on with the chop and finish it and claim it as theirs. Would make me happier to see someone complete it. Either that or ima kick my pc out the window if I continue chopping this base.

Here is the .PSD:

Enjoy.

P.S. Ill start a new base tomorrow, this one has my head fried. :-d
