Suggestions: Statistics, ranks

I somehow miss statistics on autemo.
Like a list of users you can sort by number of posts, join date, maybe even number of fakes.
And perhaps statistics on how many post have been made on autemo, how many users the forum has, where the users come from(country).
And I have to say I think it´s kind of boring that you can edit your title after you have 100 posts.
Would be better to have new ranks after for example 250, 500, 750, 1000, 1500 posts.

That´s all I want to critizise, the rest is fine.

Hi, thanks for the input. The statistics you mentioned are important, i'll make sure they get done. And the idea about the country is a good one too, which i recall somebody already pointed earlier. That will be done as well.

About the title, the reason we did it this way is because back on PSU everybody use to ask us about changing their title and it seemed most ppl wanted a custom title. So instead of doing it the typical way of going by post count we did it this way.
Thanks for your answer. I have another suggestion: a list of the threads with the chops of each user in his profile (I hope you understand what I mean). I have started such a list in "about me", but that could look better if it was an official feature, especially because neither BB nor HTML work in "about me".

Why do we need the threads when we have all chops in our profiles?
sorry if i can't catch ya Oo

also, I think it would be better if we'll have a small link to stock under the chop pic ;) Cauze some of my friends ( as well as some of yours ) want to see the stock car, when looking at the chopped)

With a list of your chops in your profile you can look at the comments again, see the stock picture (although that seems to be planned for the chops in the profiles) and you see when you have posted the chop.

One question: How are the artists in http://www.autemo.com/profiles/ sorted?
Some parts seem to be alphabetical, but not everything, so I can´t recognice a system.

UnL1M basically made the point I was going to make. There isn't really any need to have the chop threads listed on the profile, because that is really the purpose of the chops being displayed on the profile in the first place. There are upgrades to be released to the profiles soon, and then the chops will link directly to the thread so comments can be made easier. Same with the showing of the original image. You will see ;)

Also the artists profile main page is sorted by level and then alphabetically. (so Elite > Advanced > Pro Tuner etc get displayed first ;)). A Global chopper ranking system will be in place soon too. And then the artist page will be sorted by that.
Big thanks! Mk!
It's lot of work you and your friends are goin' to do)

Ok, when the chops are linked to the threads, a list is not neccesary, of course, thx.
Can you tell how you want to rate the choppers for the ranking system?
Could become difficult, I think.

Yes indeed it is very difficult to come up with a system that will be justified and accurate. I think that is why nobody has ever tried before. But we've put a lot of thought into it and i think we've found it, and it will be a combination of a lot of factors. Firstly of course it goes by chopper level (obviously all elite are first then > advanced > pro tuner who in turn are greater than intermediate etc). That part is self explanatory, but from within each of these tiers (or levels as they're normally called), this is where it gets more complex.

Primarily from here it will go on the average rating of users chops (this i feel is clearly the best indication), this is also offset (increased) by how many chops that person has done, along with a mix of if they've got hall of fame (that's a big boost), comp wins/placings and leaderboard position etc. Participation in the community and helping others has a small part to play in it as well (the more they contribute to the world of chopping in general, typically means the more respect they garner from other choppers; and therefore the more important they are in the chopping world).

So as you can see there is a lot of stuff going into the formula for the system to be able to determine who is ranked from very 1st to very last in the world of chopping. I think once launched it's going to be very interesting to see the results, thats for sure. If there's anything you feel I've missed please let me know!
very interesting words from both of you the Writer of this thread and the Admin MK211 ..

man,, you ppl who work with Coding stuff..
