We make new rankings too, a group ranking and global ranking for every teams.

My first self-victory (shared with Psa, of course), I am very happy =O, I hope the next contest will be more participants. :-d
It would be nice if you also attach the chop all together in this thread.
Very cool entries, well done you guys ! :)

Nice chops everyone, good to see some competition going on! :-d

Although I really-really appreciate the initiation to revive a competitive scene, I think we could improve on the circumstances. :)

Now, please let me share my thoughts on this, because alongside with ZSN we feel some bitterness and feel like our faith in this is questionable.
First of all, I'm not here to speak against anyone or any chop. I may mention them to give an example and to have something to compare with each other and reflect on the given points.
Our bitterness may be because we came into this quite optimistic (but in my opinion we really outdid ourselves so it is understandable) and so the penultimate place was not expected. I believe it would be fine if it was a close Round 1, and the amount of work should be reflected in received points, but the gaps are quite big compared to the point earned.

I'd like to suggest some changes, that I think would effect the competition positively.
I think the first thing would be to determine the rankings by using average points calculated based on the rounds which the team participated in. It would be unfair if a team won, just because they participated in all 12 rounds, while the others not. Participating in more rounds should be rewarded, so it should work as a weight in the formula. :-d
A formula I think could work: (AllPointsReceived / RoundsParticipated) * (1+RoundsParticipated*0,03)
This would give something like this (avg points through rounds + applied participation-reward)
Team 1 (5 Rounds): AVG points 105 -> 105*1,15 = 120,75
Team 2 (11 Rounds) AVG points 87 -> 87*1,33 = 115,71
This way active and willing teams could get some advantage :)

Regarding the points I'd like to offer some changes in the Excel table. The main problem in my personal view is that it's not universal (so you evaluate Round-specific features, that we didn't know we should have included in order to get more points [for ex. paintjob]), and the table is kind of unbalanced, and does not evaluate effort. And it kind of felt like the Pro tier had a 3-5 point advantage in every category no matter what.
Let's go column by column (max given points 15).
  • Join: I think there is no point in giving everyone the same amount of points, it's just to increase overall points (doesn't really matter).
  • Correct with round theme: This one was quite interesting. Freedash got 5/15 and whilst it's an amazing concept car, in my opinion it has not much to do with Timeattack or NASCAR. We (ZS/N) got 7/15 while other aspects that may be part of a given theme (Background, Exterior Mods, Interior Mods) were all above the 7 point we got for theme (9, 12, 13). My question here is, how could we miss the theme so that we got only 50% of the max points, if our Exterior and Interior Mods were on-point? If you want to keep Exterior mods, Interior mods, and background as a different column, make Correct with round theme something different, as it already involves these 3 categories, so you are giving out redundant points.
  • Brush: I haven't really watched the other chops thoroughly but I know our car is 100% brushed (It would be nice if someone could point out where we lost 6 points). Even if not in this category, in the Quality it should have been appreciated I feel like.
  • Quality: underrated category. Quality only worth a max 15 points, where I think this should be the MAIN thing (you can earn just as much with interior mods, umm okay). It should involve how consistent the image is, how good is the harmony, how the different parts work together, are they of the same quality, same shade, same lighting, etc, etc. It should worth a max 40 point or so, so that it's the main thing that decides. [Not the amount of things removed from the interior - since it's a Timeattack car]
  • Background: So Tugas and ZS/N worth the same 9 points. While I think Tugas' is more appropriate for a race theme, ZS/N had more effort in their background, since it's made of 6-7 different images. Both could be worth their own 9 point, I think an Effort category should be created to compensate this.
  • Exterior mods: I think it's a redundant category because we have Correct with round theme, if you want to keep it, reduce it to max 5 points. But I think it should be removed and Correct with theme increased to max 20-25 point.
  • Interior Mods: same as Exterior mods. I think it should be removed and Correct with theme increased to max 20-25 point.
  • Paintjob: It would have been nice to know that it was a category, so we could paint accordingly. ZS/N went for a totally street-legal/street-usable Timeattack car, thus the scratched metal body and no livery.
  • Effort: should be created as a ~30 point category
  • Effect on viewer/atmosphere: should be created as a ~15 point category

The new table would look something like this:
Participated? (Yes/No) | Matches Theme (max 20-25) | Brush (max 15) | Atmosphere (max 15) | Effort (max 30) | Quality (max 40)

TL;DR
  • Average points should be used so not the one wins who participates the most
  • The evaluation table should be universal and rethought
  • Effort should be evaluated properly

Revision of points would be needed according to the new table if it gets accepted!

Thanks for taking the time for competing in this competition, and for reading my wall of text. :-d
It's not against anyone, as it was written to help this competition become more fair and rewarding.
Peace <3

Okay guys, just something from me :)

First of all, super nice work, some of the chops are awesome, really like them and personally I think TST did a brilliant job and is a well deserved win.

Now the comp and everything related to it...

I'm happy with the work the judges put in(dunno what happened to F355 tho, he's one of the judges as well...) and with the categories they made. My only remark would be the following:
-Even tho we can see how much what category brings points, I'd like for them to write just one more line, for eg. Background[max 15p]
-Because of the things Nag pointed out and had some remarks on it, from now on, judges, please include a short overview with each chop(you were supposed to do it anyways, but it's okay, do it from now on). Just some basic good and bad.

______________________________________________________________________________

Nag, I appreciate your input on this. I agree with the participation points being a bit useless because of the following. If you look at any real life race, no one gives you bonus point for being in it. You just get points for the place you get at the end of the race. So I agree that we don't need that. I don't agree with the formula that you provided, because what's the point? You get points for the work you do, not for the amount of times you do it.

I agree with the judges decision to give each category the same max points. Every category is equally important so it makes sense to have the same points :) Idk why you're so about brushing. Okay, you did it, cool, glad that you can do it and it looks cool :D But on the other hand, no point in having a full brush if you spend like a week on that to make it right and mess up everything else(not saying you did that). Personally idc if you did a full brush or a c/p with good part fitting, as long as the execution is good and the idea is good.

The interior category-just why?
I mean, sure, it plays a part in the chop, but I think it's not that important. I agree with Nag, could be effect on the viewer, but I'd literally replace the interior category with it, so 15p.

Oh, and no use in being bitter, because you did kiiinda miss the subject. What you did is more pro touring or resto mod imho, than the theme you(we) got and the girl is either too short or the car too high(big). Never the less, don't be bummed out, it's for fun :) Relax and enjoy it along with the friendships your maintaining and building. There's no reward, nothing, just some friendly comp to boost the activity here and maybe help this poor thing stay alive a little longer(autemo). That's all. _____________________________________________________________________________

Congrats to everyone once again. Good luck for round 2, hopefully I'll participate in this one haha.

That's it from me :) (feel free to tell me I'm an ass, I know I am at times)
Oh, and Konrad, you have a typo in your signature :P
I want to say something to the participants too, not much but just next time so we can actually judge you clearly, maybe google the theme we put up for? some went for pikes peak, some went for drift, here is a thing, i'm speaking for myself here, maybe if other judges agree with me too, then hey i'm glad to be speaking for them too, first, please, your backgrounds ! should be beautiful yes but not distracting ! the focus here is the car, the work, the effort, the art, the background sure uses some effort to make or search but it should distract from the car and second thing is the cars themselves, for example, lets say you are making a GT3 themed racecar, you can have everything right but when i see a stanced rim and your rim is touching the fender, thats going to throw you off big time, i will be judging from everything, every bloody detail there is, either way, you guys really did outdo yourselves this time, honest opinion from you to all of you, GREAT FUCKING WORK ! my reaction was holy shit when i saw your entries, keep that up dudes!

For my team, I can say we were both super busy and just couldn't find time. Yes, we had one month+, but just couldn't manage to get together.(I know that I did the quickies, but it was like 15-20min per day max...., I took me like 3 days for a 1hr quick).

I also expected more people, at least the teams, to make something, but hey, it is what it is. Hopefully it'll be more "active" for the next rounds :)
