Tablet help

So I got a little cash for my b-day, and was curious what tablets you guys recommend. First off I don't know if its even possible to get a decent one for $100(us). If not thats cool, still would like to hear opinions so I know what to hold out for.

Hey Chopper bro, Hows it going. Well you can actually pick some up quite cheap dude, i actually haven't got one my self but theres a couple for £30 (UK) i'm not sure how much that is in dollars but heres a link to it. It also depends what size base you'd like too, the bigger they are the more expensive they become. Heres a link. Its UK by the way. This is best way i can help :)

Thanks guys. I had noticed that the larger ones get much more expensive. That was one of the next things I was wondering...do you need a larger tablet for some of the image sizes we work on, or is the smaller one still pretty decent and manageable?

I've heard that the wacom tablets are great, but I see they come with a hefty price tag.

I know that jackdarton uses a 4x6 tablet... which is small... and he's jackdarton xD

I've just ordered a 4x6 Wacom Intuos and I'll see how the small size goes. Apparently getting a tablet too big makes it difficult to be precise because you have to use arm movements instead of just wrist.

I can see how that makes sense. I'm still going to wait a while, but I've got my eye on a couple. I've read several reviews but most of the time those can't be trusted. Keep me posted on how that one treats you when you get it. :)

I have a 6 x 10 wacom intuos. Its about 3-4 years old, I still use it almost everyday. I couldn't live w/o it. I wouldn't do anything BUT Wacom. Wacom FTW!

haha thanks :-d I have seen that the wacom bamboo is reasonably priced. May look into that further.

on a side note....I just got home and my computer was cycling itself trying to boot and getting a system error then rebooting itself and trying again...who knows how long it was doing that for. Reformatting it now hoping that will fix it...it just so happens that right before I left I was trying to download some software from a questionable web source. :( Now I wish I had cs2 on the wifes computer.
