I took it as do what you want but make sure it is still a renault. Using the Rocket Bunny kit as an example, I suppose a good way to describe it is; Imagine your chop is at a car show, what stand would it be on? Would it fit in on the Renault stand or would be on the Rocket Bunny stand. If Renault then all is good, if Rocket Bunny then your chop doesn't meet the guidelines.
I think I have an idea for this, I just need to find some decent donors
This is exactly it.
We're trying to "sell" the idea of modifying this Renault to the world. Rocket Bunny kits and so on are very recognizable. So when you start advertising a Megane with just that unmodified Rocket Bunny kit, what are you really selling to the public? The idea of a Rocket Bunny kit! Did we really need a brand new Renault then? Or could another car have done the job?
Now if you show all the possibilities of this Megane, and it happens to have modified Rocket Bunny parts, that's the goal. If you ever wanted to build something like this in real life, the starting point would be "I have to go buy me a 2016 Megane first", not "I'm going to need a Rocket Bunny kit, some Adv1 wheels and then a car to put them on."
