Looks like you were using the polygonal lasso tool. Would flow so much better using the pen tool. Looks good atm

Im a GIMP user... Im using polygonal pentool thing with I struggle using the curvy pentool thing even though iv been using for almost two years... It take too long to make a simple selection

Looks good! But you really gotta get the Arches and the other selections Round and smooth..
Otherwise the result wont be so good. But even if it takes longer to select it just do it, it will look alot better.
Keep on brushing! still too early to judge it.
