but the car looks squashed.

I like the style of the new look, and the placement of the car in the new bg with the motion feels great. My problem is that most of the stuff you changed/added looks toonish. Toony is ok in my book if its consistent, but makes it rather easy to spot that its a chop when parts don't match. Makes the car not flow as well. Either way it looks pretty cool, keep it up.

Looks pretty good ! However as said it looks Squashed, if you compare it to the orig picture. Also The Carbon is no good though, you can see the Carbon fibre(s) to well, should have lowered the ocapacity to around 10 - 25%? i suppose.? Anyways good chop like the ideas , someparts are a bit lowres. Anyways keep this in mind and kick out and even better chop next time ;D

thats not bad and they are right about the Squashed part
the wheels are even oval now
easy fix just select the whole pic and transform it a tad

keeping trying man.
