Hi guys, I thought I would just post this chop up to get some inspiration to finish it.

I'm planning on a full brush, but I'll probably leave the rims c&p'd.

Tell me what you think of the brushing. I'm not too pleased with it, but it might just be me being too picky. Anyway, some comments, tips etc. are appreciated.

Looking alright.
However I feel you missing a level of saturation that makes red paint look great.
The middle bit of that colour range has a much higher saturation, and could make the red paint really pop (As long as you don't over saturate it)

Here is an example. Left is your red, right is with just a little more of the mid range.


It will also depend on BG choice and what effect your wanting. the above right picture will need a BG with sunlight.

hmmm the brush and refs do look very good
maybe change the shape of the centerhole ??

the brushwork comparing to your mx-5 for example needs more work to it
this is progressing ok too, but lack the amount of color/shadevariables to give it more life

Update. Tell me if it seems I'm going in the right direction. Don't worry, I'm not finished with the front yet, but I thought I would start on the side. Tell me what you think of it.

Also I'm struggling to think how I'll turn this into a Christmas chop? Any Ideas?

Also, I'm wondering which intake your talking about when you say the "centerhole" is that the squarish one beneath the rounded one or the top rounded one itself?
