Mercedes C class AMG DTM

Hai guys this is my first vector.
I'm gonna do every part of it.
Damn that's gonna so much layer's-
So guys any tip's and critic's are more than welcome.
Enough talk,
here is the base and some wip''s.

Started some shadowing and lightning with 20/25% opacity

WIP'S ARE LOW RES CAUSE THEY ARE CAPTURED WITH LIGHTSHOT ;)

That's a good start!

Might want to find another way to capture the wips because the saving algorithm seems to make all of the smooth lines weird. I don't know if some of the smooth curves are actually smooth and only look like they're not or if they really are wonky at the moment.

Tnx m8 I'm working on 8533 x 6400 res so they are really smooth
btw that second wip is gone due electricity vent down for couple of minute's and I've lost last night progress and now i'm doing it all over again.

Edit:
I'm gonna post full size image link with next wip. ;)

That's a lot of pixels dude! Since vectors are infinitely scalable it's not dependent of the pixel resolution at all. The only use you have for pixels while making vectors is to see your details more accurately yourself which really is a personal preference. The image file itself doesn't need it.

When you're making a vector piece you should keep the image resolution as low as possible so that there's not as many pixels for your machine to render and show to you. You'll start to notice how it affects the performance once you got more layers in your file. Just keep your res high enough that you see what you are doing accurately enough. I personally had the working res on my vector Viper GTS at around 3500 pixels wide and it was well enough for me but my laptop sure started slowing down after a few hundred layers. ;)

EDIT: I dunno what your colour depth settings are at the moment but here's another tip about optimizing your computers performance while doing vector art. Keep your working image's colour depth as 8-bit since you don't need to see the smoother gradients all the time. When you're going for the finishing touches switch it up to 16-bit (vectors are infinitely scalable in this aspect too) to see deeper colours and smoother gradients. 16-bit colour depth is a lot bigger file than 8-bit thus taking more of your working RAM.
8533 x 6400 :omg: Don't rush it
I have bigger normal chops :omg:

But anyways! Great start man, great start ;)
Honda <3
Tnx guys
Yeah it's a really big res but I think my PC can handle it.
