They're all 800x500ish at low DPI. Unfortunately that's unsuitable for chopping.

Upscaling is a big nono for those who would like to retain quality and sharpness ^^. No software is going to change that. Unless it's a vector image you are always going to lose quality upscaling.

You're wrong to an extent. I've use PerfectResize numerous times for images that end up on the side of billboards, tradeshow displays, large posters and the software does a (surprisingly) good job at quality retention. There is obviously going to be detail loss but for a decent sized photo, PerfectResize will surprise you.

Either way, have you ever heard the phrase "dont look a gift horse in the mouth"...?

Not looking a gift horse in the mouth, just scrutinizing the general links posted. Because we do in fact want to discourage the use of some sites and encourage critical thinking on the chopper's part. Third party software is one of those things you need to be careful with.

Of course, but you're criticizing software that you probably haven't even used. I've done numerous projects for clients in which I've used third party software like PR and it's done me well.

Sorry the link I posted wasn't up to the standards. Was trying to help out.
