As time passed by, the car was driven as much as I could.. cause I was that type of driver. Always pedal to the metal. Soon new ideas appeared, now I had something else to do!

After adding tape to the front lights (adding 150 more horse power)

I started making more shots of the car, and some ideas popped in my brain..


I went wild, I stopped making chops and started working on the car..

And very soon after these nice and warm times something happened..

WINTER CAME!


That was the last photo of the car with it's original parts and bumpers.. after that everything changed..


One night as I was drifting, a big speed forced me to leave the road..
I was not that much surprised, and the car was also not much surprised.. the hit was not serious, but forced me to start changing everything..


As a begining, the engine was opened and renewed.. many from the starting 75 hp were dead, the car was runing on nearly 50 hp.. as a quick tune up, and some new parts, including temporary new bumper, new water radiator.. the car started to run a few days later, with maximum of 85 hp on the wheels!

After finding the dream wheels, the spoiler and everything, I was closer.. So I had to start doing something with the engine and suspension..
I was looking for lowering springs, also adding hardness to the ride.. the choice I had was to buy purple, red or blue springs .. So fooled by the price, i firstly got the purple ones, but they were just lowering, with no hardness..
After a few more researches I now knew that the most hard springs I could put for my car were the red colored, so I bough Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs, with 35 mm on the front and 40 on the back.


NOW the car was feeling much better and alive! I could do quick shifting lanes with speeds over 120 (to max 140) without any disturbance on the road.
I went crazy for trying to make my car more stable, and I started work on the wheels.

First they went to be straighten, cause the previous car that they were on was a rally car, and the car during the races had a lot of big and serious jumps..

After that I was wondering what looks to make on the wheels..
I could keep them black (remove the paint and apply newer and nicer one), sand clean them keeping them plain silver, polish them all or polish only the board, with painting the middles in some color..
And that's how they looked.


They were fitted with 195/45 R15, nice and low tyres, BF Goodrich

After a few more small changes, like making the rear windows black, i started looking for a new bumper.
The original and the temporary ones were with small center hole, and for my future plans and as I was always wishing to see my car - I was looking for bumper with wider center whole, going from the one for light to the other. Since these bumpers were realy rare (only on bigger engine tipos and some turbo diesel) it was hard to find one, but one day my luck knocked on my door! I found my dream bumper. The only problem was the color difference, since it was second hand from a tipo that survived a side crash.




The car was now looking nice. The wheels, windows, suspension.. almost as I always wanted to see her. But she was a bit dirty, and the photos were not that high quality.

Later that day I went to work and washed my car, and made these photos... but first a sneak peak under the car


IF you look closely you will see that there is no exhaust pipe going anywhere. I removed it, cause I was about to get naughty, and the car had to go louder!
I removed it for the night, and on the other they the car came with straight pipe from the front to the back, and a nice exhaust pipe, everything 55mm. Collectors from the engine were classic combination of 4-2-1, but a bit changed, to make it a bit interesting.. airfilter (sport one) was added, to clear the breathing.

After washing the beauty, a few more shiny and hq photos were made. As seen on TV!

So, time passed by, and new ideas appeared!
And so changes came..

I started looking for some side skirts. I always liked the original skirts (from a Tipo 2.0 16 valves) but they were expensive, and not so differently looking.
I started measuring and etc, and finally I found my skirts!
They were from Lancia Delta Integrale



After that I had to find a front grill. Started to look for a facelift one, but since the design of the facelifted tipo was a bit different, had to look into older cars. It wasnt much, until I found what I need. And original, Sedicivalvole grill, that perfectly sits there.



And so, the car began to take her shapes and started to look a bit better.
I cutted a bit of the springs, making some changes to the shocks also, so ride will be stiffer, and car will perform even more better at high speeds.







Next on the list of the modifications were the seats.
Originally they were red/gray fabric, not bad at all, but I needed something new.
So, i went on the internet AGAIN to look for some seats. And I found just the thing for me!
Black leather seats, from Fiat Tipo GT , a bit sportish. They fitted in just great.
