'53 Plymouth Belvedere

Ok, long time no update from me, but I have been very busy with designing cars lately.
It's a dream coming true for most people here: Get paid designing cars.
I have made lots of money out of this already, and I'm not planning to stop with it soon.

Well, that said, I can finally show you something I have made a while back.
It's a 1953 Plymouth Belvedere. This client is building this car for autocross.
It has a Dodge Viper V10 in it, and the chassis, suspension, rollcage and interior, exterior, etc. is custom made.

Maybe the rendering will be changed on some details, I will update then.

What do you think?

That's an interesting base car for autocross!

I'm sure the black-on-black-on-black theme would look sweet on the real car but at least in the image everything kind of gets lost in there especially without more defined highlights.

I like the Dodge-style grille. Seeing a front wing on a lead sled looks weird though. :P
Do you mean the black striping on the side of the car?

Mean what about the stripe? ...So no, I guess. :P

I think the idea and design is good, but the rendering looks very flat. All the matte black will need more light and shadows and detailing. I think I've seen the project thread for the actual car on the H.A.M.B .forum?
Some men just want to watch the world doing burnouts... :P

Definitely an interesting concept, and a good attempt at pulling it off - always good to see creativity :)

I think the main error is with the rims - the tyres feel much to thin, and their angles don't quite match up to that of the car - perhaps try rotating the front one clockwise a bit - that might help
As for the matte paint, it's not bad but I think it needs a little more contrast - although it's matte, it should still reflect blurry bright spots from the very light coloured backdrop

Nice ideas though :-d

@ Zykotech: That's possible. He has multiple project threads on the internet. :)

And thank you all for the feedback. :)

All I can add is that the background could use some contrasts too. There's a too large difference in quality between the car and background IMO.
Cool you are making ALOTOFMONIEZ, caring is sharing! :D
