Awesome idea and well executed.
To me it's too obvious it consists of a part beetle and a part your creation. This is because the beetle parts are relatively crude. They had to be, because of the production techniques back then. Then you've got your parts which are extremely smooth and sharply edged, with detail. The way the rear quarterpanel overlaps doesn't make much sense to me and it's too literal from the 16/4. Nonetheless I think it's a great idea and I definitely like the overall look of it.

INSANE idea :-d
I love the idea :) Using the same techniques as the cheatchoppers, but now for something good :) I kinda agree with Construct on the styling stuff, there are parts that just look to modern, you could for instance make the side chrome trim go around the scoop, like an early Corvette ;) And the far side headlight is actually quite a bit higher up than on the closest fender.
Some men just want to watch the world doing burnouts... :P

Funny looking. Great idea too and with more attention to detail (like the chrome trim Zyko suggested) it could be truly amazing.
Seems it's attracting quite a bit of attention around the web. This is testament to the originality of the idea :-d
