Stepping down my duties, and bidding a certain farewell to the chopping world.
Hey guys
This has been a bit of a long time coming for me really. I used to sit back and watch people come and go from our little niche that is chopping, and think that I would never get to the stage where real life overtook the enjoyment I once gained from opening up a picture in Photoshop and working some magic on it. Lately however, real life has indeed caught up with me and I find myself with less and less time to dedicate to not only this place, but the industry in general. I don't want to say for definite that I won't be producing anything else as we all know that all too often, that turns out to be an empty promise. I have a love for chopping, this place and everybody here in general.
I've grown up from the age of 11 surrounded by a lot of people on this forum, and others who have come and gone in what is now approaching 12 years of admiring the skill blossoming in front of my eyes, not only from myself but from others who have grown alongside me. I've got to know a lot of you and made some very good friends, people who I will be friends with for a long time and who I know I can turn to if needed. At the minute, I need to devote any time I do have to family, my career, and my personal life. It would be unfair on a few people to rely on me when all too often I can't help, hence this post.
I'll be around of course, especially as any work I do is done at my PC, so I won't be disappearing without a trace. To Mark - I'm completely happy either way if you choose to revoke my blue username. I'll be dropping in and checking out what's going on, and posting occasionally too. Who knows, I might just make one final epic chop when I have the free time
*Cue cheese overload*
I'd like to thanks a few people specifically -
Mark - You've worked your ass off to provide not only a community, but a home in general for people with a passion, a place where we can come together, share our work and learn from each other. I see this place as one big family, and I hope other people do too. I won't be losing contact with you, you should know that. You've helped me through some rough times too, so I'm in your debt.
Klaus - I've not known a chopping community to not involve you. In the time you've been on board, you've done staggeringly well, especially with studies taking up a lot of your time. Keep doing what you're doing, because you do it well. I've watched your skill grow exponentially as well, and you are to this day one of my favourite artists, and a great friend.
X-Raited - Well, you're one of my best friends, a priceless WIP watcher and one badass artist <3
The rest of the staff - Sorry I couldn't be more of a help to the community recently, you're all doing a great job and more than we expected. J - Keep it up with your photography buddy.
I'll see you guys around
Much love <3
