We've been considering this idea of super short comp formats. I.e. 1hr or 2hr comps. The way it'll work is we'll post up the base on Autemo Facebook and then you go away, chop it, and then post it back within a 1hr (or possibly 2hr) time limit.

Before starting this we wanted to get an idea of who'd be interesting in competing in it. We think it'd be an interesting comp to compete in and it'd be a great way to see who's really got some lightning fast chopping talent. And of course the other thing we'd like to ask you here in this thread is when would the best time for us to run them be? We'd naturally be thinking the weekends sometime, but we just want to get a feel for timezones and things like that so we now the best time that will suit most people.

So who's in?

Yay! Sounds great. But I presonally think 1-2 hour is too short. 4 Hour may work out better. Like what you can get if you chopping with a mouse in 1 hour? Rims, maybe new BG, colour and thats all. We would see the same things over and over again in just one hour.. I think the same goes for 2 hours. Also in order for this to work out, the bases gotta be simple, I mean no hard angles and anything.
Weekend mid-day would be the best I believe. So Its late afternoon/night for Aussies/Asians mid-day for Europe, and Morning for the Americans.

Good idea 1-2 hours are perfect! But problem is timezone...
I think, you could do some system where time start countdown after competitor will be signed in and download base.

That's a reasonable idea there durci, but we won't to eliminate all possibilities of cheating and things like that. So the sure fire way to prevent that is just to post the base at a specified time, and then all entrants must post it back within the 1-2hr time limit. If they don't make the time limit then they miss out.

I think 1-2 hrs is the best, it needs to be fast paced and rapid. That's the whole reason for this comp format. 4hrs would be dragging it out a bit.
