Anybody here played the game?

It looks awesome from what I've and I want to get it. Anybody got some cool in-game stories they want to share? From what I've seen on youtube of it, it looks like my kind of game!
I've played for a while. A friend and me have got our own server where we have our base. Stayed alive for 8 days with the current character, got a ghillie suit, NVGs, M24 with 6 mags, M4A3 CCO with 3 mags (just swapped it out with my M4A1 CCO SD when I ran out of mags) + a stuffed toolbelt + a coyote backpack. We just moved camp to the other side of the map as the other one with 6 tents + the 3 others we had scattered around got found and flattened, and picked up a truck on the way there.

Our playing style is to keep to the forests as much as we can, sneak around rather than kill other players and zeds. I want to get my humanity over 6000 so I get the hero skin, but that's going to take a while if you read below.

The only interesting stories I've had are when..

...we were cleaning out the zombies from a crashed heli site at night, and all of a sudden we heard a chopper incoming so we hit the ground. They'd seen our muzzle flashes and used their searchlight for us in the woods passing right over us for a good 10 minutes before they went on their way.

...we were at the NWAF a few days ago, me waiting for my friend to come on a bicycle after he got killed by zombies. I just laid on the roof of the fire station tower scouting when all of a sudden I see spawned zombies on the far side of the airfield, a tell tale sign that there's other players around. Sure enough, after scoping over for 2 minutes I saw him bolt across an open field and into the forest. Then my friend came and he went and looted his body before joining me with his L85 Thermal, and all of a sudden we hear gunshots in either direction. Then, as I scoped around I see a dude near a building in a ghillie, aiming at me. With no time to lose as I thought he was going to kill me, I placed the crosshairs on his head, and sent away a bullet. "Al was killed". Headshot. Turns out I didn't have time to zero my scope and was lucky that he was standing 300m away. That's my only PVP kill for the 4 weeks I've been playing, and sent my humanity dropping from 3800 down to 700 :( Turns out he wasn't a bandit as I thought he would be venturing that far north, sadly you can't see their humanity skin because of the ghillie.

As of the last time I took a screenshot I now have 468 zombie kills, 265 headshots and 1 murder.
Oh and it definitely requires you to be patient. Often you have to run around for hours before you find anything, and bear in mind that the map is 228sq.km large, and you start off with no map.
I heard about the bicycles, in fact I saw a youtube clip of a guy riding one and doing mad shit like luring hoards to other players lol. The awesomeness was level9000. I want to get this game but I have lacklustre (i.e. shit) pc specs for gaming. I like the fact it opens up a bit more emergent gameplay than standard games, things like the chopper searchlights scenario, I could imagine that you really don't know whats going to go down each time you play it. I haven't been into gaming for ages (especially nothing concerning multi/online), so I'm sure anything out nowadays will amaze me.
Played a fair share of Arma II, but never played this.

Here's some cool links and stories from PC Gamer:

Bikes are hilarious, and there's a glitch turning them into dirt bikes when you save them and leave them there for the night. Also they don't break, if you damage them you simply get off and on again and it's brand new.

Also, our camp was raided when we logged on last night, and our truck was gone. But as we ventured out in different directions in search of another vehicle I saw something in the corner of my eye, turned around, put up my scope and saw this:

Told my friend the grid co-ords, and told him to get the fuck over. Revealed about 12 tents in total - SCORE #1!

Raided them, found all kinds of shit, but most importantly I got to swap out my M1911 for a silenced M9 as a sidearm, and I swapped my M24 with all the ammo (about 12 mags) with an AS50 with 10 mags - SCORE #2. Sadly there was no STANAG rounds there or I'd stock up on that as well. Oh, and I found a Mountain Dew :mrteeth: (google that one if you don't get it.)

A tad later I met up with my friend again after going in different directions. Then we found this:

And that's how I spent 3 hours running around Chernarus last night.
I honestly have no idea how I'd play this game. I think I'd be one of those asswipes that takes choppers to the coast and repetitively gun down noobs. That or ride the bicycles around collecting waves of zombies and use that as my personal army hive. I'd probably do those things until I adjusted and settled down in this Chernarus. How long would I last in this world?

About an hour because you'd die of starvation.

Nah I'd probably crash the chopper and die. I've never been good at flying aircraft in games.
What Danny said ^

Absolutely nothing you think will go to plan. You will think about doing all of this crazy stuff, go biking, driving, gunning down hoards, or other players with the best guns in the game, and blowing shit up, detonating it from the tallest tower in the game whilst eating unlimited food.

No

You will last 15 minutes on your first try if you're lucky, and die in a field somewhere by either bleeding out or being sniped by another player. If you manage to avoid that, you'll freeze to death at night after getting wet thinking it was a good idea to go for a swim, and you can't warm yourself up because all of your shit is ruined if it gets wet. You cannot see jack shit in the dark either unless you have a flashlight or a glowstick, both of which will attract the entire server's attention (zomies included) to your location.

None of this is an exaggeration either. It's the best case scenario.
