The story of my first Sierra.
After getting my drivers license, my nice old Volvo 242 didn't pass it's EU-test because of rust. I didn't know enough about cars back then to fix it myself, so I thought I would get another cheap car to run while fixing it up. A friend of my gf had a son who was going to sell his car and move to Oslo after graduation, so we more or less made a deal that I would by it when school ended. A 1987 Ford Sierra 2.0L was going to be mine.
Now, we have some serious 3 cweeks of graduation partying in Norway, called 'russefeiring'. So in the beginning of may, the guy called me and asked if it was ok for me if the painted the car red and used it as a 'russebil'
through may.
I was ok with that if I got it even cheaper. it was still a rustfree car in good mechanical condition. Well, after graduation parties for a month, it wasn't a good looking car anymore.....
So it was sanded down and given a repaint. Then a ducktail spoiler from a Alfa 33, and some wolfrace 13x6 slotmags
After driving it like this trough summer , fall and part of winter, it started having electric bugs, and kept stopping, because there was no power to the ignition. Which kinda made me kick in the whole driver side of the after It died on my the eleventeenth time.
SO as spring neared, it was time for another makeover and repaint.
Some new bodyparts were bought, and the whole car was sanded down again. New wheels were bought.
And it was repainted in lush metalflake purple and black, with a yellow pinstripe
(lowering was done in paintshopro though...)
Then, in the fall it was sold to make place for the IS coupe seen in the last photos.
