PC

Hello dudes :D
I want to buy this configuration of PC:

Intel i3 2100 3.1
MB H61
4GB DD3 Ram
500 GB HDD
nVidia GeForce GT 430 2GB SDDR3
DVDRW

Is this configuration good for designing?

I'm no expert, but as far as I know, for Photoshop & other design programs you need RAM and lots of it.

4GB of RAM is ok, but I'd suggesting going for 8GB or 16GB.

4GB is not enough. I'd go for at least 8GB, preferably 16GB.
im doing fine with 4GB ram on a x64 w7 with 64bit PS >_>
unless the PSDs get over 1GB
get another 4gb of RAM, they are uber cheap.
:awesome:

I'm with Fuse, got same specs as him and no problems.
Probably upgrading to 32gb RAM soon, but only for CAD and rendering.

Wow. I use 3GB of ram.. running windows 7, same processor.
It's more than enough for what I need. I don't even have a graphics card, but I can still run 3D modelling software, photoshop and several other programs comfortably all at once.

I'd say it'd be fine, and RAM can easily be added afterwards for very little cost :-d

I had 4 GB on my old pc, it was slow as hell, but the processor was also quite shitty. i7 with 16 GB now, much smoother.
