I've seen people rocking out with huge signatures for a while now and it's starting to grate on me. Are there any rules or restrictions to the size of the signatures? There should! A 100 pixel height limit would definitely be in order in my honest opinion.

For example, having an entire chop as a 400 pixels tall signature is overkill don't you think? Makes the discussion threads annoying to browse through when someone's one line post takes up a third of the screen just because of the signature. Annoyance is further multiplied if the same person has replied into the same thread a few times, especially on the same page. You get to see the same huge signature over and over again!

Or am I really the only one who is annoyed by this?

im 75 x 250 is well more enough for a sig imo, its just distracting having HUGE ass sigs just to show you next chop or just promote stuff

We could probably do with some general rules or guidelines concerning signatures, but I'm not sure they would be read. Some things we can say is signatures are;
- not meant to advertise other forums or websites
- not meant to showcase chops (we have a section for that)
I think we'd eliminate 80% of the large signatures this way already.

As it says in the rules:

You can always adblock the signature if you want, though. Just as I've adblocked Brians signature for example

i mentioned this to mark in a pm like 2 years ago and he added it in the rules. you other admins should read your own rules

I did know it was there, as I from time to time delete signatures, but I don't crawl around all the forums as much as I used to, so I don't spot a lot of them

Now the question is: Ponies or teletubbies in admin-installed signatures?
