so, i thought i´d post my golf (volf) project here


atm, i dont have many pics, nor much done, although i have some pics wich i´ll post, and the project will continue in a short while

this is how it looked when i first bought it, the pic isn´t from the time i bought it but i looked like that then atleast


then i vento converted it, but i couldn´t find any parts who matched the colors im gonna have them in, but that doesn´t matter since i´ll repaint it very soon




so that´s basicly how it look atm, i´ll update when i´ve done something

Nice you made it a Vento. Like it . Also you should consider buying some rims

lol, of course im going to get new rims for it... it´s only the start of the project, got lots of plans for it

I would actually leave black hood, black side mirror covers, painted door strips and put GTI black skirts so it has some contrast white-black

look at my thread, think about smoking headlights, it would look specially good on white car

and loose thule, if you don't need it badly

roll it matt brown , slam it and some cool wide wheels

@ tomica: actually im gonna paint the hood, but the grille, door strips, skirt, and the top part of the fb and the rb will be matte black later so the contrast will be there, im gonna do a serious chop of it sometime so you guys can see exactly how it´s gonna look

about smoking the headlights, i thought of doing that, but i dont want to loose the already bad illumination, so might paint the inside like you did and get clear headlight covers instead of the striped ones

and i actually want to keep the roof rack but they´ll be scrapped since i have to remove them when im gonna repaint it, and i dont have the key so i´ll have to kinda rip the lock out


@ rich: i would never ever roll paint the car got all the resources needed to repaint properly instead, wich i will, as i said to tomica, i´ll keep it white, but with matte black details

will also change the wheels, or widen the steel ones i have now

oh, okay, I thought you're leaving top parts of bumpers white

headlights, bad illumination is because lights are dirty from inside, you can't imagine how dirty water comes out when you wash them and you don't paint everything, just silver parts as on my pics..
if you put clear covers you'll need lens and xenon cause stripes are there for reason and illumination would be even worse with clear cover if you know what i mean
you can buy stronger bulbs like Philips Xtreme Power or Osram NightBreaker, they give beautiful white light and are much better than some cheap ones

rack hahaha, yeah you can brake lock but that's not problem cause you can buy new ones separately, are those thule or some no-name?

yeah i know, though i have washed them so the light got a little better, took them apart and rinsed everything and yeah ofc you dont paint the reflector inside, that would be a really bad idea if im already complaining about bad illumination and i know you have to do more things to get the light correct when putting clear glass on the headlights, though im not sure if i´ll do it since i dont like xenon lights ^^

they´re thules, so kinda sad to wreck them but im gonna check with someone who can get them up without breaking them, or the car, + exchange the locks if it aint to expensive

locks aren't that much expensive, can't remember how much I paid them new when my keys fell into sewer

but I believe thule dealer(if you have one near you) can unlock it
if not, take screwdriver, shove it into lock, few hard turns left-right and it's broken but unlocked
final step is bidding on ebay for new locks
