I really liked the refugee theme with a twist. The story itself wasn't really mind blowing, seen those kinds of stories in say, Stargåte tv-series. (side note: å is not a

The visual style, filming and the documentary type story telling in the beginning was really amazing and for me that set it apart from other sci-fi films! Unfortunately the documentary style kind of changed more into traditional action movie story telling towards the end of the film. To me it struck out as a genre shift which is not a good thing in a single movie but luckily it didn't ruin it completely.
I've read somewhere that the director has been hired to direct the movie based on Halo video games. He sure got vision and if he avoids those weird genre shifts I bet he is going to be one of the top sci-fi directors.
