I'm on my last year at school and have no idea what to do afterwards, so post what job you are doing/did that kinda relates to Automotive/Design, and it might just give me an idea of what to do...

Just started working in a magazine company as an intern 8 weeks ago

Not so much car related stuff as I hope (the closest I get to cars is taxi rides and reading car mags ), but still a great job as I wanted to pursue in the digital media stuff.

Depending on your situation you might have to consider money over what you love, that's one reason I tried doing I.T when I finished school, But sometimes if you are good at what you do, got lucky and know how to advertise yourself people will contact You for jobs

I'm one of those guys who didn't finish school

6 years ago, when I moved to the other side of the country, I needed a job to pay the rent.
I started working at a large cableTV / Internet service provider company as a regular customer service employee.
Now, 6 years later I still work for the same company and last monday I started with a new job! Still working for customer service, but now as Traffic Control employee.

My work is to make sure the customer is beeing helped by the right person at the right time and placing announcements on the telephone line.

It's one of the most awesome jobs you can find when working for customer services, and it's on top of almost any other function in this business.

im workin as a graphic designer in a web related company, i do not program websites, but i do all the designs, (websites, logos, brochures, iphone and android apps, etc)
i also do some product design,
along with i usually do some car bodykit designs and wheels

I'm studying Marketing at Oslo School of Management. Been working for DC as some of you might know - but I've got a job interview for a company working with other companies regarding their presence in social media. That means, if I get the job, I'll be working with something that is related to what I'm studying - AND I get to design facebook pages for clients. Please have all your fingers crossed for me on monday

I'm working in an advertising agency, I do my professional education there. The education lasts 3 years, after that I can work for them as an intern member. I already worked for them as a freelanced worker for about 2 years.

The agency has its references in car tuning firms. We design almost everything for firms like KWautomotive, WEITEC, Carlsson, we do some stuff for Lumma,... only to mention some of our references. (flyer, car design, business cards, catalogues, brochures, newsletter, notifications, ...)

We also own two magazines: TUNING Mag and VW Speed, which among others I create.

I really enjoy working there. It's definately one of the best companies where you can start an education as a media designer. Thats what I'm learning right now. I've started last September.

I studied Automotive Engineering and I'm now onto Industrial Engineering and Management. Automotive Engineering should almost speak for itself, as Industrial Engineer I look at processes within companies and see how they can be improved.
Under assignment from the university I've had contracts/projects with a few companies now that involved things like market research, finding out what the bottleneck in a production company was, etcetera. I hope to use the experience and knowledge to go and work for one of the car(parts) manufacturers or developers, and eventually start my own business.

I work as a digital artist at a games company. My main area of expertise is with the cars in the game (designing, texturing etc.) but I do other stuff too when needed such as environment or menus. So far I have loved my time there! It's my dream job.
