here's the deal, car magazine offered me a job...they need someone who would turn concept car sketches/visions/etc. in reality

for example, vw is going with golf mk7 out next year and they want to publish some photos of it as many other magazines do

so, my question is how much do people making these photoshops make?
they told me to think about it but i'm scared that if I say too much I'll miss great opportunity

depends on the pricelevel of things in your country, how long does it take to illustrate them and many other things

I totally depends on how well established the magazine is mate, if they're well known, then you can get away with charging about £200 per chop.

Then again, you shouldn't undercut yourself, so quote that amount anyway, if they turn you away because it's too expensive for them, then tell them that you could come to some kind of deal, and ask them what they would have offered.

they are actually established very good, they're publishing two magazines, and have international sponsors...

Just tell them that you charge £200 (or the equivalent in Croatia) per render. You'll be surprised how much magazines pay for stuff like this. They're gaining quality content exclusively for their own mag, which is a big thing in the publishing industry.

I once charged a magazine £200 just to PRINT a chop that i'd already created for myself, and they accepted the charge with no hesitation.

I think I'll go with 150 pounds, two times a month...more than enough for college boy like me

also depending on how much they want from you, small chop with smaller changes then less price.
but like big rebrushes with lots of mods, atmosphere and refs etc then alot more price.
try and research the company and find out or ask what they want from you.
