OK I have a pretty good idea why people put a cross pattern of tape on there fog lights but what kinda of tape do most people use?

They use Bacon

Gaffer tape is what you are after

You mean duct tape ? and I was thinkin bout using electrical tape

Black electrical tape is the one mainly used as Mark said
