I see you're in on the Eurotuner comp too? ;)

Not sure if I dig my idea yet. Its good execution so far but a fumped new beetle on work eurolines on a drag strip with white/grey/black camo paint doesn't fit together maybe. But who knows maybe that'll win

Design looks mad haha!

With that look, I think it'd need a more "dirty" track style paint-job (matte black possibly?) and a really atmospheric background (racing with flames from exhausts etc.).

ye thats what i was going for matte black and on some parts matte grren maybe but i need help with starting the matte paint

When I brushed my matte black 240sx (you can see it in my profile) I basically got a mid/dark grey colour and filled all of the body with that. I then went with a large, soft dodge tool and brightened all of the highlighted areas very quickly, then did the opposite with the darker areas. I used a progressively smaller dodge and burn tool using the same technique, until I felt there was enough detail in the matte paint (it might help to compare to a real matte car in this case). I then used a trick Jackdarton taught me of basically grabbing parts from the background and using a lot of Gaussian blur to make them seem to match the matte paint's reflectivity.. Then I picked a few colours from the background and with a very big soft brush basically put it over certain areas of the chop, then set the layer style on "overlay".

Obviously there was more detail than that, but that's the basic idea of how I brushed matte black ;)

The design does look mental! I think this will turn out good. A suggestion I have for you is to lower the car first before doing the body mods. It'll give it a more time attack look and less cartoony, especially on a car like a beetle
