It is with great sadness that I have to report that the sponsorship deal that we set up earlier in the year for the World Team Battle, with JDM Allstars has fallen sour.

Long story short, we now do not have a sponsor supplying prize money for the WTB competition .

To explain it a bit more though, the guy whom we made the deal with have now sold out of JDM Allstars, and we have not been able to secure the money that they promised us. Although we've given them a lot of advertising thorugh our images and WTB videos .

Obviously this is a way too a small matter to deal with from an international law perpective. We have done what we could about it but have realised that we cannot get anywhere, and that we need to inform you of this.

I will post the results from this rounds WTB later tonight, and launch the next round tonight or tomorrow.

I am really dissapointed that I need to write this thread, but better we tell you now rather than later.

Given that Autemo doesn't make a tonne of money yet, we as a consequence cannot support the current prize pool without a sponsor. We can however still contribute $100 to the winners of this years WTB.

We've tried, but in the end this is all we can do...

I think the fact that the WTB has always just been a fun competition to enter makes this just a small hiccup.

I actually forgot there was going to be prize money, so would have seen it as a bonus if we'd come anywhere near winning (which we didn't hehe)

yeah, prize money came then the fame to win the wtb, your name team writed on each site...i think that we DON T NEED SOME DOLLARS TO WANT TO WIN THE COMP

Exactly the same opinion. It has always been a fun competition. Definitely had been a great fact that also some prizes should have been included. But well, who cares. It's an honor to be part of the whole WTB thing for me, with prizes or without them. It doesn't make any difference for me. Me and my team will still give more than 100% to show you our talent, we hopefully got. Thanks for informing us, IronChop. And to our opponents, good luck in the next round!

I dont know what rest of the competitors think, but the most imporant prize in wtb is prestige, not money ^^

Thanks guys - we did want to make it extra special by having sponsors on board, but thanks for being understanding guys. In the future at least, definitely no sponsor deal unless they pay us before the comp starts!
