I strongly agree.... with the first part. I can't comment on the second part as I haven't played many PC sims.

As dEst says though, GT5 is unique and there really is nothing like it at all on PC. If you want something like GT5, save up and buy GT5

GT5 lacks some proper sim things....like changing left/right side of car suspension and ...AND TIRE PRESSURE :x
Even forza had that..

Also hate it being on a slow loading ps3, pc ftw (unlimited mods etc).
