I need new laptop since my old is very sloooow and old.
I found this on and i'm thinking of buying it, does anyone know if it's any good?

Sony Vaio model: VPCEB2M1E/WI (not usre if the model can be buyed outside sweden)

Intel core i3-350 2,26GHz
Graphics: ATI radeon 5470, 512MB
Windows 7 home premium

I am using a Sony Vaio VGN-AW21M and I assure you that it is a wonder!
Consider the Ferrari of the computer the Sony Vaio produces very good products.
Just consider the time of replacement or assistance.
The AC did not work and I took it in for service on Saturday, Sunday and already I had a new and without any cost.

Depending on what you're looking for in particular (will you use it for only photoshop or other things like gaming etc.?) there's probably better laptops out there for the same price. From my own experience I've found that VAIO's can be quite overpriced for their specs, when compared to other laptops.

Of course I'm not dissing the VAIO's, I'm just sure there's a laptop out there that does same things (and maybe even suits you better) for the same price Keep your eyes out for good deals

I will use it for Photoshop and other normal things for games I have my pls!
I liked the design of the vaio and I’m willing to pay for it.
My problem is that I have really poor knowledge in whats a good specification, there are hundreds of different laptops to choose between! What shall I look for?

I guess if it's just for Photoshop, then you'd want a great screen. What I'd recommend there is a Mac (and I know it's a different OS, but I've got used to it quite quickly within a few months) or you could go VAIO which is your original decision and also have great screens (everyone knows Sony makes great TV's ). Your choice really. When I was deciding between a new desktop computer, it was between a VAIO and a Mac, but I chose the mac due to the screen quality It's your choice though, both are great brands!

I've never used a Sony Viao before but they do look nice as around christmas last year i was considering one but it never got it, so when my old laptop (had it around 4yrs & 1month) screen went i replaced it with a HP G61-410SA which cost me £500 (don't know how much it that would be in Sweden) and i've had it just around a month (got it 5th june) and its a great laptop. HP-Compac make solid laptops as i barely had to do anything to my old Compaq besides 1 re-format.

Best thing to do it look around, make a shortlist and look for reviews about the laptop and then decide which is best for your needs.

thanks Klaus, I've been thinking of a Mac but it's almost double price compare to the vaio, the vaio I think I will buy cost around 720£.
I've also looked on Hp but I liked the vaio screen better!

choose HP dv2/dv3, the quality better, same as it price I think..

I have one, HP dv2... waw, with AMD Athlon neo x2, DDR2 2GB's, ATI Radeon HD 1024MB... it enough for me even to play NFS Prostreet(for tester), no doubt if that use for daily use, even photoshop.... just suggestion..

Umm, why dont choose Apple? it's best for Visual Designing IMO...

Dont go AMD processor in a laptop...
4gb ram = must
5470 = real good, have it myself, check benchmarks if you really care
