My Account -> Account & Settings -> Scroll to Notifications -> Tick "Email me when someone writes on my wall"

I don't really make a habit of checking my emails (and I'm sure there are others who don't either), so if this new system comes in I think there should be a notification for it (just like facebook).

gotta agree to klaus, and if you open someone's profile, you maybe could see a clock what time it is in his country/location, i know it can get difficult for example to the americans who have many timezones, but i'm sure it could get fixed in some way.
