Hello friends,i was just wondering does anybody misses the time when we had multiple chops daily. It seems nobody likes chopping anymore. What is your opinion about this?
We all grew up, and the youngers have their interests in other things. Also AI isn't helping. Earlier what I did in 3-4-5 hours, AI can do in 5 seconds now, yeah it needs some afterwork, but still...
It was enough to argue about C/P or full draw or 3D, and where to put them in the old days, and now this.

This sums it up nicely. It was a good run boys! I've been doing this stuff for 20 years, now I have kids and a full time job, there's just very little time to do creative stuff.
Combination of many things. People moving on (like always) but lack of new artists compensating for the departing artists.
Shift of focus from carscene. Cars are not so in anymore in many places. People getting older. New medias, like 3d scene has really gotten popular. Like mentioned AI just makes some things not really worth it. And it is still even new, who knows what will happen in the future.
And ofcourse loads of other stuff aswell. Like at the start of pandemic, I saw many older artists coming in and visiting. I felt returns could be coming. I tried to gather interest and get people to come here and visit etc. Just did not happen. I began to feel like it was not really making sense anymore to devote time to.
Many sites like deviantart etc. are struggling aswell. Like yeah, there is loads of content, but so much of it is just generated AI-stuff so I lost interest to that aswell.
And so, I myself just draw/chop sometimes for fun. Sometimes I finish, sometimes not. Also it is fun to spread the little amount of free time I have to many things.
