If you're having issues with broken chat and profile it's because of a failing AJAX request, you can see it if you press F12 and check the console in your browsers, errors will start rolling in.

I've created a tiny script that adds a meta tag to autemo, unfortunately I don't have access to Autemo's source code or the server it's on so we'll have to do a little client-side hack. In order to use it you have to do the following:

1. Install a script manager for your browser. Greasy Fork has a nice collection for every browser, I personally use Tampermonkey and like it a lot.

2. Install the script. It's available HERE on Greasy Fork, click Install and your script manager should take care of the rest.

If you want to test the code before going through all this, open the link in step 2, copy from lines 16 to 31, open autemo, press F12 or right click and click inspect. Paste the code into the console and see chat and profile appear after a second or two

and just now, bartosz was kind enough to have a chat to me about maybe helping do some updates to Autemo, so I've given him admin access to have a look on the back end and see if its something he can help out with, so please be kind to him and make him feel welcome!

I apologize for being so slient here for so long, with covid the last few years and not much work as I have gone to become full freelance, I needed to focus on myself a bit so I can at least pay the bills to keep the forum alive on top of my daily life, its not been easy.

But with bartosz onboard, I hope it can give Autemo a bit of new life and energy.
So I'll do my best to get a bit more involved again if things work out.

Hello everyone. I also wanted to rebuild automo.com at first. Unfortunately, the site is so neglected that I don't know if there is any point in rebuilding it. 12 years is a long time when it comes to html, css, php, mysql. I don't know what to advise at this point.

Is there any possibility of migrating any of the current data into a new website platform?
Either the user database or some of the content, it would be a shame to lose so many years of content.

or maybe we can simply redirect Autemo.com to the new website so at least when future people tries to log in here, so if do have to close this website people can see the new website?

Yes, anything is possible, but sometimes it takes a long time to recover something.

It is possible to leave automo.com as it is.

It is possible to create a subdomain eg old.autemo.com and leave everything here.

Think about your choice calmly and without pressure.
