The biggest issue with the comments(and rating) is the short generic "good job" comments. We need more people to actually comment on the chop, like what's good/bad.
A sort of limit of least characters could be put so that to force to write wider comments. :)

I know, as I know someone would be able to make that comment. xD

However I thought it would be nice to add points based on site activity and participation in the contests, thus forming a blacklist. On our Italian forum this way.

Perhaps have a monthly public vote for the promotion, where users are nominated for a promo and we as a whole can vote if someone should get a promo or not, not just one(or a few) admins and mods. I agree that there will be users here that will say yes always, but it's worth to give it a shot.

I agree with the previous comments that there should be more levels between novice and pro, just to make a difference between the beginner and someone who has good work, but not pro level yet.

I agree with that one. A vote would be nice but idk how much it would discourage someone who just didn't get their promotion based on the votes and when can he hope for another opportunity. About rankings, yeah. I feel like there is a gap between Novice and Pro, since I don't really consider myself as a Novice nor as a Pro yet I'm the earlier. For me a Novice is someone how just got onboard and is still learning the basics. :)
/Someone mentioned before that there are people who are not in the right skill level yet they have the title. I have seen some chops whose artist was titled pro and I was like what o.O /

Wow, wow wait guys.
I suggest "retired" rank for users who stopped making something and really go to retire.
We stay with ranks Novice, Pro, Elite.

haha, well that's what you get on a public forum when someone has more ideas :P But yeah, retired would be okay if that wasn't like 90% of the forum....

@NAGARTworks, yeah, I said about the pro not so pro and novice not so pro :) There are good ideas, but not the execution of a pro, and same with the novice :)
