Hi guys :) Found this section so thought I would stick a photo up of my '88 Austin Mini City E. Spent 3 years building it up from a bare shell to look like this. All work done by me and my Dad in our garage.

After a year on the road I then stripped it down again, and I'm now 2 years into another full rebuild, including a professional respray this time. Right now it looks like this.

Engine is ready to be dropped in too.

Hp?
Great look man love it
Thanks guys! I had it on the dyno before I stripped it and it produced 45 hp, but only put down 25 hp .... pretty terrible :omg: That was with a little 998cc engine though. I have a 1275 metro engine with twin carbs and a lightened flywheel ready to drop into it when I get it back from paint. :mrteeth:

45hp for a 998 engine in a mini is not bad at all, i have a 54hp seicento sport and its pretty fun to drive and heavier than the mini i imagine, its quite fast for the hp it outputs

It wan't too bad I suppose, The A-series engine has a fair bit of torque so that makes a difference. The differential is what let it down. It was geared for low rev high speed cruising instead of off-the-line speed. All that will change with the new engine though, can't wait to get it in! :D
