Zack the T-Rex

So right know I exploring my illustrator side, I've been doing some landscape paintings, and character, and I want to share this one with you guys.
This is still a early wip, Just started doing some detail, I'll be texturing the skin, eye, and maybe some forest around it, let's see how it comes out. so without more delay, here's Zack the T-Rex

another one, bg color changed to make the dino pop, and no outline

wip3, decided for the original bg, and I'm now working on the body detailing, it quite challenging and not similar with the cars I must say. let's see how it turns out.

I'd say finish the t-rex (which looks great so far) and leave the forrest for later , i think the background looks so nice that way aswell . You might consider a version with a forest background and with the current one . Continue with it , it would make a great wallpaper :-d

Thanks guys,
The body is still very rough, I've to work much more on the colouring to make it look more alive and give it some dimension.
About the color Andy, I work with the LAB pallete, It's great and it helps me figure out the best tones to use in order to make the composition and toning pop of the page (or the screen in this case)

RGS, maybe I'll do just that, finish the dino and then if I feel like it do som forest around it ;)

btw Andy, Awesome landscapes you've been making, could use some tips mate.
