Hard Light Reflections Tutorial Request

Hey guys, i'm currently working on this chop: MazdaRX-7Project.jpg and its not really going the way i want it to, basically the rough shape, but i had started adding in details that worn't really working, was wondering if anyone had some tips, i'm going for that bright orang look like on atcdesign's ferrari. Was also wondering if some one could make a tutorial on how to brush in hard reflections and light reflections on body work to make the paint look reflective and not matte or cartoonish looking.
Cheers guys,
GVAR.

The key is reference material - something that you can copy similar reflections from into your brushing :-d good luck :)

yeah i was just watching that, its a very good tutorial, i'll give it a shot once I finish all my tafe assignments which are doing my head in.
out of curiosity how do you go about making your pieces, like what do you start with first, in what order like highlights first, shadows first or both, stuff like that

to be honest it just depends what mood I'm in.
Sometimes i do highlights first, sometimes shadows, sometimes both at once.
But I try and work one body panel at a time... but it's just personal preference really - no right and wrong - experimentation is the key :D
