on the right track but the way you brushed looks too solid and loses the shapes a bit mate ;)
try using smaller and harder brushes with smaller "flow" on them if that would blend it better, while still leaving reflection like result?

I don't understand what you mean exactly, can you explain it again please? Or someone else that does understand?
