Damn that 2CV looks amazing! I actually like it without the fenders and wheels wide out from the body.

EDIT: That guy you were referring to, his screen name was simply "2CV". ;)

damn, thats a really nice H1 J_HUI, what brand is it?
DAMN Bram !! I want one even more now, but there like $Aud 400 for one  , excluding the OEM Tamiya battery and charger :( But i have my eye on a Tamiya Pre-built lexus GS 400 seems a bit expensive, so should I look on ebay ?

EDIT: plus I see the Tamiya expert built ones for $299, how much to expect to pay for a 2 channel receiver & servo, and how much for battery / chargers??

Mark it's a 1:18 Maisto Hummer H1, $45 at my local shop, but the original is a horrid looking red, eeeek :|

Just buy a cheap chassis and nice looking, more expensive body and rims :P

Thats what i did, my first chassis was €50,- and my second €20,- xD
Most good bodyshells are like 50 USD so with a cheap chassis you can have a nice low-budget r/c

Haha Bram, awesome video :D
Curious what makes that chassis or the tuning make them drift good.
Wow Bram! Nice driving!
well chopping is very low (read having a break) (will be back 4sure) because i had lack of inspiration and usually ounce a year i stop for a month (or 2 depends)

so more time for ........modelbuilding :P

the hotrod was never what i expected of it ....
so i did research and just cut away all the framerails underneith to get that channeled look

i also want to make it a pick up rod

the engine i already have was made from scratch with all sorts of stuff (base was a engine with no detail)
but the i got a better idea a really detailed engine not ratty but really nice to see

i already started ripping parts out od an awsome detailed 1/12 scale ferarri f40 modelkit
i just dont like building a pre set thing anymore and basicly started on the engine to use it for the hotrod
its a v8 off course with turbo's
im just using the base and will make it more custom

here is the idea of the rod (very rough) i will spray every single part of the rod again and it will get custom framerails at the front

after some cutting i got this base idea fot the looks > lower>shorter>roofless>pick-up
dsc00631yv.jpg

basic idea
dsc00645.jpg

in the bodyshop
dsc00646j.jpg

new engine
dsc00651ai.jpg

chrome baby (just used silver grey and that turns out like this)
dsc00662m.jpg

aluminium front axle sprayed black (all the black will dry up as matte)
dsc00666qh.jpg

covers still grey plastic's
dsc00655p.jpg

now satin black for contrast with the chrome(will also become matte black when dry)
dsc00656b.jpg

parts drying (just sprayed)
dsc00658h.jpg

sprayed chrome in the frame because of the tiuny size of parts (not sure what wil be used)
this was all grey plastic)
dsc00660k.jpg

turbo's (not sure if they will be used not really fitting the style i'm thinking supercharger withcarburetors just like jimmy shine's pick up
dsc00661em.jpg

stock steering wheel
dsc00663mu.jpg

masked and sprayed

dsc00689q.jpg
dsc00691f.jpg
dsc00692yt.jpg

test fit engine
dsc00695n.jpg

lower support (wil be cut to shape after drying of the glue)
dsc00699a.jpg

good sand down
dsc00700f.jpg

then it started , the red one is the stock floorpan the other one from the 2cv
dsc00702s.jpg
dsc00703le.jpg

bye bye 2cv time to get chopped xD
dsc00705wl.jpg
dsc00706wc.jpg
dsc00707a.jpg
dsc00708w.jpg

after lots of cuttong / grinding the idea took shape (rough)
dsc00712lp.jpg
dsc00713zt.jpg

here you can see the bed still needs cutting (inside stuff) so the bench can go back
dsc00716e.jpg

i could even try this , looks a tiny bit like the jimmy shine truck style wise
