Daily I use a 1000D which I think you have, BUT for client photoshoot's I use a Canon 550D because it's got a better sensor.

I got various lens Tamron 17-50mm Vc, canon 50mm F1.8, canon 18-135mm, canon 55-250mm. Mainly I just use the Tamron 17-50 because it's fast and very sharp.

Tripod... it's good to have handy but I don't like using it. Takes too long to set up, unless it's night time, then tripod is a must

So ive done a few more shoot over the week, and Figure i'll post them before I forget = )

there goes my photography career
can't seem to calm myself enough to get a sharp pic, managed to get only one cristal clear photo in about 6 months i have my camera, (yes you're right, the same, 1000D).
the last set of pics is up to your standards
love the set on the cube the entire atmosphere is perfect, night, street lights, and some blue things in the bg
keep up the good work, and maybe give the the white type r in the third pics as a new years gift?!?!

As for sharpness in images, different lens have different range, For the Can0n 18-55IS the best range is shooting at around +F/5.0 for sharp images.

Liking very much the Evo pics a bit up the page here, Joseph! Lighting in them is excellent, do you use any offset lighting and/or merge pics, or do you only use the environmental lights and use a long aperture?

Most of the garage-pics in your last post are too dark for my liking, but that's completely up to taste to decide, so I won't be picky on that matter Same goes for some of the Sil80 pics, but again, taste decides, and you're the photographer!

This reminds me very much of one of my first outings, nearly the exact same composition and lighting, only the colour of the car differs. Good memories that, running around with my 350D 15 years old, lol. Also, does the pic correlate with this one in any way?

One last question; do you shoot in RAW or just JPEG? It's a small bitch to shoot in RAW as you need way more cards, but pays off in the end IMO because of all the benefits you get during PP.

The Evo pics were all long exposures with natural light and one flash with off camera trigger, so camera on a tripod and just stack photos with different exposure on photoshop.

The sil80 shoot was defiantly too dark, the black car just absorbed the lights even on long exposure, So I went home, had a read on this site because I'm a noob and realize I needed multiple strobe/ softbox to light up the car. So soft boxes are on the to buy list soon.

At the very moment I only use med / large Jpg's because I haven't had money to buy a class 10. After 2 photos my SD card would just freeze and make me rage. lol
Plus when I do event's I can snap up to 400+ photos which is really hard to work fast in batch( or I'm doing it wrong as I don't import using lightroom) I just go home, open images on PS and just work with that, But I do know I need to start shooting in raw because you can bring back alot of detail even when the pic is overexposed.

Once I sell of my old 1000D body, get the newly canon 600D + 16gb Sdhc class 10 then I'll try to shoot in Raws and might even try to record videos.

and don't worry about the lack of comments, I just use this as a personal diary.
