Wow! !! I know i don't post much but this is one interesting topic. Face it everyone here hazy done some level of C&P. Instead of calling people out why not make C&P section for each rank. If a chop is say more than 60% C&P it should posted in the proper section and give credit to the donors. This will show the choppers who brush and those who don't. If a person can't put proof to there chop lock there thread. This is my solution take what you can from it. Autemo the place to be. Ta2man out!

not a bad idea, but how do you determine the percentage of c/p and brush? one chopper can think it's over 60% brush, while the viewers don't agree, so what happens then? having to show proof all the time is demotivating, so sorry it has to come to this..

Honestly, if it looks more like the donor then the base picture, it's not ever 60% brush, and if it is , it is a pretty pointless chop...
I could easily do a 90% c+p chop, with multiple donors that looks like nothing you've ever seen before... and I used to too
Theres no need to do only full brush chops, and that is not the point here either.
And if the situation is bad now, remember it's the cheaters fault that it has come to this, a community where every realistic chop is suspected of being a cheat-chop....one mid-way WIP can be enough if you know the chop is going to be a gray-area chop.

A stricter voting mechanism, perhaps only a select committee that can vote... and sensible voting would then come about, perhaps making those who have just c+p'd feel embarrassed/ something about it if they're getting crap votes....

Brings me onto another point.. only the other day I awarded a chop 4*s... as did -xan- after me, I felt it was perfeclty justified. But then others come along and give it 9... we just need people to step up and vote fairly without worrying about what people will think, perhaps hiding who voted what from users so that there is less guilt, and only enabling admins to view. Cos it's just kinda retarded..

+1 I also think voting should have criteria each star should have to meet some standard.

I understand that there are choppers that find a donor, than find a ''base'' matching the donor the best, than they post it as their design, idea and crap, to get the ''fame'' and likes and comments because they don't know better, and i too don't like stuff like that.

But i am very pissed right now because you are putting all c/p users of my kind in the same bucket with the jerks who are trying to fake their skill level!

I am in the VT world for a very long time, i started much earlier than i even got the internet on my computer, and i did a large amount of semi or full brushes, now i don't have the time or will for that, i just want to mod cars to make them look how i like them, not so that they look as much different as possible from the base, or to impress you with a large amount of mods, i just want to show you how i think it looks better, i have no motivation to prove my self any more to no one, i just chop for fun!

And now you are trying to f*ck it up by some stupid rules and suggestions that all c/p work's should be in the w.i.p. section and that we have to upload all our donors and crap so you can see what i have done or you will DEGRADE our chops just because they are not mostly brushed????? WTF!?!!!

Dudes i used about 10 different donor's for the engine on my Audi S2, half of them were deleted after that because i didn't need them any more, and in no f*cking life will i obey rules stupid like that, i will rather leave Autemo and stay only on normal forums with normal rules!

Oh yeah, and i don't care how the photographs feel about me using their work as a donor, i am not making no money out of it and if they wanted to protect them, flicker has an option to ban downloading and they don't have to put full resolutions, i don't on my photos if i don't want people to use them for something like virtual tuning. And for stance nation and crap, their resolutions are too small for me anyway

P.S. to all haters, I FIRST FIND A BASE that i would like to chop, and than i start to search for a perfect donor, i know my way on the Google and i always find what i need. I don't just copy the whole side of the car and paste it on mine, i chop part per part, first the wheels, than the wings and so on and so on!
So f*ck you Zykotec for calling my current chopping technique ''cheating'' and everybody else that agree on that term.
I put a lot of effort and love in my chops, some are bigger project's some are smaller but i always write for what and how it was made, and in the last two chops i posted the MAIN PAINT DONOR exactly to show you that it isn't just ''plug and play'' but much more, i match the donor to fit the base, not the other way around.



AND NOW MY SUGGESTION FOR PROBLEM SOLVING


I suggest that ALL choppers, when posting a chop, post the main donor/inspiration (the donor we used most parts/designs off) INCLUDING the ones that brush their chops fully, if you have nothing to hide show us your main brush reference, be fair and there will be no problems.

Because i don't care if you modded a photo so much that it is yours now, but i do care if you modded it by looking at someone elses design that isn't yours but no one can't find that out because it has no paint or angle connection to the chop except the look's so you can say it is yours with no fear of being caught in the act...



We all break somebody's rights by using their photos for backgrounds, but well, this is how it work's for years and it will keep happening like piracy and all the other things on the net.

seriously, read some of the post properly before attacking me all the fu***ng time. Your style and most types of 'normal' C+P chopping is not the problem here. By constantly misunderstanding the point you really are sticking your neck out all the fu**in time though... I'm going to kick your teeth in if you don't relax and stop going bananas all the time...
