I find it hard to explain what I mean by the side lacking quality it just seems to need more work as it seems somewhat toonier/unrealistic to me than other parts.The refs just seem kinda blurry and artistic moreso that realistic.

Of course I'm probably wrong as I'd imagine you can use the car from the bg as a ref for reflections and such.
Hope that's some help but I can't really put into words what looks odd to me,sorry.

Ok, here's another update. Did the side skirt, added some more detail on side and small fixing up in other places. Making the hood look right is what's coming next... I think. Here it is:
