Sorry to hear that m8
I'm fighting the stress for about 2 years now and there are some bad side effects,
my whole body crumbles in some weird position and I can't move my limbs or some times I'm not able to talk or anything else, simply my body shuts down completely only brain and heart are in function, did every medical test everything is great, doctors can't find solutions.
So m8 I understand your pain in sort of way.

BE STRONG M8 I KNOW U ARE :) :)

Hey Hugo, hope your keeping your chip up and battling this head on.

3 1/2 years ago i broke my neck and instantly went from being a national gold medalist swimmers to flat on my back in bed not being able to move or feel below my neck. over the next 8 weeks i was turned every hour by nurses and couldn't shit or piss without either a nurse up my arse or a catheter on!! but i kept strong and believed i would be OK. I had an 10 hour operation that restored some movement in my arms chest and upper back over the weeks after it and finally i was allowed out of bed into wheelchair. the next 7 months i was living in hospital on a spinal specific unit doing rehab everyday with the physios. while i was there i started swimming in a heated pool to get some fitness in not really expecting much but soon found how amazing it felt and i wasn't that bad, i had all my fitness still just had to drag myself with just my arms (my hands don't work either) i got told by a friend that i should start competing again in disabled competitions so when i got out i started training few times a week just for fun and fitness. went well but wasn't expecting much from it. after my first comp i got my qualifying times to go to nationals which i was very pleased with. but i went and came away with 3 golds! super pleased! since that boost in confidence i since gone on to do other sports such as wheelchair rugby, handcycling and in nov i went surfing in australia which felt amazing! all you have to do is carry on like you were before and dont let the disease define you. do everything you can, overcome the odds and dont let it consume you. i dont believe in luck talent or faith its about how much you want something and what your willing to do to get it done. apply that to your situation and im positive your be ok :-d stay classy hugo and best of luck
