here's another interesting point: you are your own quality control. true, c&c helps you improve, but no-one demands that you post a chop that you dont think is quite up to your standard. you can always put it in quickies if you want
/minds_eye design/new chop ALMOST THERE 01/10

But im not afraid to put myself on the line.
I was promoted to protuners cause of my chops, then demoted because i had a chop with flaws. Its like, everyone has bad days sometimes, rigth?

means you can work harder to get back up there ;)
minds eye has hitt he nail on the head, and nordic man too. you're not putting yourself on the line at all icandi, all opinions are welcome. i've already had pm's upon pm's of complaints about demotions, but it's something that will inevitably happen. Like zero said, just work harder to regain your place ;) the standard of chopping over the past year or so has skyrocketed, and we have to assign places based on that.
Hello.
Im not saying its unreasonable to demote me.
Acutally i see it as a challenge to get myself up to the level of protuners again!
Dont get me wrong mate! Im actually glad when i reconsider :)

i took the time to vieuw your gallery again and to see if i could give you helpfull advise maybe :-d
your work is fine and i think you need to focus on angles and perspective !! those imo are the keywords for you :-d
it's like more attention to detail maybe
i hope this helps :) (????)

btw this got me thinking , why not make a thread where any chopper can ask for helpfull advise based on the whole personall gallery.
so if somebody want opinions they post like , <<<<<could you guy's please look at my gallery / chops and tell me the general thing(s) i could work / improve on ..>>>>>
this would be a c&c about your whole gallery and not one chop only , so that would be very usable

hehe not a bad idea at all :) instead of a free for all thread though, make it like, comment on the persons gallery above you. That way it won't get overloaded :) feel free to make the thread

hehe not a bad idea either!
92% of the teenage population has moved on to rap. if you are part of the 8% that stayed with rock, put this in your profile
Having read some, not all comments all I can say is that actually judging standards is nigh on impossible.
There are so many variables, some would say chop quality, some would say artistic merit, yet others would say that a chop should be practical, and then there's actual feasability of design.

When it comes down to it what is chopping? If you say it's all these things then there are a whole load of upper end choppers with chops which just would not work. Then there are people like me with just a lowish standard of chopping but an idea of practicality.

I have to admit some of my favourite chops come from the members in the "lower" sections of the forum, the designs are often far more subtle and practical which to me are the signs of real automotive design. But the whole thing is just so damn subjective! I'll leave it up to you guys to sort it out.
