Ooh, this one's very interesting and so far it looks great too!

I would suggest adding some more shadow on the tire to make it look like it's deeper in there. Now it looks like it's touching the body panels. Sweet tire donor by the way!

The wrinkles in the rear tire and how the car looks like it's weight is all the way back with the front wheels off the ground (which I think you should definitely do!) suggests that it's sprinting off the starting line. So there shouldn't be any tire smoke.

And about the wheelie bars, maybe just by moving the left one a little to the right would take care of the perspective error.

Thanks Ollite, your so right. Its meant to look like sprinting off from the starting line and the front wheels is in air!
I've added some shadow on rear tire and removed the smoke. I have started with the ground and I think it starts looking pretty good, needs more work!

The tarmac looks good although wet. Wet road is a no-no in drag races. :P

Adding some spectator stands, the start-off lights into the background would complete the bg. I would also suggest adding a low concrete wall onto the foreground, very close to the view point, maybe showing only the top surface of it and blur it out of focus. It would do a lot to fill out the empty space in the bottom area of the composition and create more depth in the image. ;)

xD You can read my minds! thanks
wow keep it up
the stabilizers look really weird at this stage, rest looks cool
the tarmac on the pic you linked looks damp apart from the width of the car ??
With drag racing on a proper race track.
They lightly spray some oil on the floor, so it makes the cars do burnouts easier.

And burnouts are done to warm up the tyres before the staging/ racing.

Awesome chop idea Lilja, can't wait to see this completed :D
