Lol tried to start rc today.

Not sure if I flooded the engine, or glow plug need changing or I need to charge the glow plug ignition more, or im not pulling the cord hard enough XD

See if I can fire it up and get a vid going tomorrow

pull the plug out and blow on it make sure its not " wet" also pull threequick times then stop and do it over, if it sill dont start pull the plug out and pull the cord so it throws out the petrol inside and put it back in and try again =)
Thanks for the tips Glac, See what I can do tomorrow.

For now... :/
Took off the glow plug, pulled the started cord a few times which spat out the excessive petrol.

You know you flooded it good when there is nitro in the air pod filter and spilling some more from the exhaust... Failed so hard, no man can comprehend XD

Sorry to ruin your awesome gift Mark, I'll make it run.. eventually, just airing it out overnight, so the nitro evaporates and it's all touch try.

Now to watch some tutorials, hoping I didn't break anything..

You won't be able to break it, they're tough little things especially HPI ;)

With the glowplug out of the engine attach it to the battery starter for a few seconds and see if it gets red hot, it it does then good this means the battery starter and plug is working. All should be fine and it'll be ready to start.

So - Put the plug black in, top the fuel tank up then prime the fuel (i.e. pump the black button on top of the tank until you see fuel go down the line and up into the carburettor), when the fuel has met the tip of the carby then just pump it once more.

Now to start it have the throttle open about 1/3 way (tip i do: take the pod filter off, and adjust the throttle arm on the carby manually till you see it open enough), then attach the batter starter to the top of the glowplug once again, wait 3 seconds so it can get hot and then firmly pull the cord about 20-25cm. keep trying that process and you'll eventually get it going. If need be pump the fuel tank once more and try the cord again
So much advice, thanks Mark, hope to put them into use.

Just checked and the glowplug defiantly works, it's hot as hell! *ouch* lol

When I pulled apart the exhaust to wipe out the excess fuel, I noticed a few pieces of black, flake like things inside the tank . not sure what that was, so took them anyway.

Now the carby is semi open, filter off so the petrol can back flow, See how it goes, if all fail, I'll just ask people to help me out.

Failed so hard XD :/

Left the car over night for the petrol to back flow back to the tank.

Sat on the floor for about 15 minutes pulling the ignition cord, pumping a bit more fuel, taking off glow plug, take out excessive fuel which... I might of left the wall a bit messy and repeat process until..

I hear a rumble =O, She's alive :mrteeth:! !!

First thing that did was, spat out a pile of nitro on the floor from the back of the exhaust :|

Now that it starts, when I'm running it:
-The car engine cuts out occasionally, a loud click/ bang and the car stops meaning I have to fine tune it?
Also the rear wheel dont seem to be spinning, only the front two are powered. something to do with the drive shaft in which I'll have to pull apart and have a look at.

You can adjust the carby jetting on the side for hot/cold temperatures but you shouldn't really need to I had it going fine with the current settings it's on. When you have it started just keep the revs up (keep the throttle open/idling a bit faster than normal), you can have the car off the ground if need be til it's warmed up. This rc engine operates best and will idle fine when the it's at hot running temperature.

All four wheels should be working? Check the dogbones (the little drive shaft/axles) and make sure one of the rear hasn't fallen out? Remember rc's don't have limited slip diff (LSD's) so all wheels need to be on the road (have traction) for them to spin.
Ah. turns out I didn't click in the drive shaft to the front diff/ transmission properly after I pulled the thing apart, to give the chassis a wipe last night.

I knew it, becuase I could spin the two rear wheels together and can see it's spinning the drive shaft and when it's on I can see the front wheels getting power.

But it defiantly needs a tune which I'll do when I have time.
Probably becuase I'm using 15%, every time I high rev it and step off the gas, that's when it snaps and turns off.

Learn from experience I guess, and I loveeee that smell of nitro/ exhaust.
Brb sniffing nitro XD
